Last year, 4,000 qualified Sichuan maids (chuan mei zi) were transferred to some urban labor markets outside the rovince, where their services were well received. Since then, a growing number of cities throughout China have requested the chuan mei zi. This situation has been brought to the attention of the International Labor Organization and the United Nations velopment Program.

　　 To develop the team of chuan mei zi, Sichuan Province a dopted various measures－including government - financial
support, multilevel training, marketable operations and follow-up services.
