Real-name management of employment refers to the entering the real name of a laid-off or unemployed person into a database when he/she becomes reemployed or employed. Labor departments at various levels in Northeast China's LiaoningProvince began implementing the system in 2004, to help maintain accurate employment figures in the province, and to be able to check the actual unemployment rate at any time.
At the beginning of 2005, the provincial government enhanced the system by including, with clear targets, trade unions, youth and women in the real-name management system.
Before the end of 2005, the Liaoning Women's Federation had surpassed its annual target_training 50,000 women, employing 50,000 women and supporting 1,000 bellwethers of women's job creation.
